Overview
Long Island site 4B is located near Glen Castle Drive in Sandy Springs Georgia. The stream is found flowing perennially behind a developed neighborhood. The area around the stream is moderately forested dominated by thick underbrush along the right side of the bank

Land uses/Activities and Impervious Cover
A survey conducted adjacent to the water body indicated that there were no immediate impervious surfaces encroaching this site.

General Water body and Watershed Characteristics
Long Island site B had a reach of 200 ft extending upstream from site A. The bank width was found to be thirty-five feet and stream bed width, nineteen feet. There were no pipes along this reach but two drainage ditches. The farthest drainage ditch upstream was feed from another drainage ditch linked directly to Long Island Drive. There were no pools or bends within this stretch. There were however two ripples broken apart by two runs respectively: the longest run extended for 90 feet and was approximately two feet in depth. Erosion also appeared to be more of an issue upstream from Site A indicated by a thirty-four inch difference between the left and right banks. Sediment consisting of gravel and cobblestones was observed to be mostly embedded.

Additional Comments
Small fish ranging from one to three inches were observed frequently: medium sized fish between four-seven inches were not present within this reach. There were also no amphibians or reptiles observed. A few macro invertebrates were found on the site belonging to orders Odonata, (Dragonfly), and Diptera,, (Crane Flies/ Midge Flies). One species of crustacean was also seen, Procambarus acutus, (Crawfish). Alga growth was not prevalent and few aquatic plants were perceived in the stream. Small non-point source pollution was also occasionally found consisting of mixed debris.
